How to use SSO with VLink

Feb 15, 2022

VLK-96 - February 2022 - VUSION Link

Key principles

The connection to an application for a user depends on different aspects:

  • The authentication of this user: which is how the user will be identified within the app

  • The authorisation of the users on the app

In this document, we will focus on the authentication only.

What is SSO authentication with VUSION Cloud ?

With SSO, you can authenticate once and get access to all VUSION Cloud applications.

SSO provides a better user experience, allowing you to stay connected and engaged using the same authentication while moving smoothly from one application to another.

Key benefits of SSO:

  • Use a single login and password to access all VUSION Cloud applications

  • If you are using Microsoft Live or Microsoft Azure AD, you can use your usual enterprise credentials. If not, you can create a VUSION Cloud account and benefit from the SSO authentication as well.

How to use SSO ?

VUSION Link can be accessed with:

  • Microsoft Azure AD

  • Microsoft Live

  • Dedicated account on VUSION AD

To use the SSO authentication with VUSION Link, you need to add the VLink rights to your users profile from User Management graphical interface.

Step 1: Choose your region

When you open your application, choose the region where you are located.

Step 2: Choose how you want to connect

With SSO authentication

For SSO authentication, choose Microsoft Business or Personal Account and follow the steps.

Without SSO authentication

If you don’t want to use SSO authentication, you can connect by scanning the QR Code configuration of your store available from VUSION Manager or by using a configuration file.

See the documentations : How to download VUSION Link Store configuration file

Step 2: Choose your store

If you have access to 1 store only, you will automatically be connected to the store avec the SSO authentication.

If you have access to more than 1 store, you will need to type manually the store Id where you want to operate from the setting section.
