Context
Currently, the number of offline labels for a store can be viewed, and a list of these labels can be downloaded from the Asset Management interface. However, we recognize that it may be more convenient for our clients to identify offline labels directly within the store.
To address this, we have implemented a feature in Asset Management that allows you to differentiate online and offline labels in the store.
How does it work?
To help in-store workers identify offline labels and determine the reasons they are offline or to replace them, we can now identify online labels, as they can still communicate with VCloud, unlike offline ones.
We have implemented the ability to temporarily modify the label template by adding a red dot. This ensures that the next image sent to the label will feature this red dot, indicating that labels without the red dot are offline.
Using Asset Management interface, you can activate the functionality so that the red dot is added gradually as new images are sent to the labels. Alternatively, you can refresh all labels at once to instantly add the red dot to every label.
In Asset Management
Configuration of the red dot
First, you need to chose in which corner you want to place the red.
And then, using the positions X and Y button, you can move the dot.
For the X axis :
When positive, the position of the dot is calculated from the right side of the label,
When negative, the position of the dot is calculated from the left side of the label.
For the Y axis :
When positive, the position of the dot is calculated from the top of the label,
When negative, the position of the dot is calculated from the bottom of the label.
Activation of the feature
To activate the feature, you need to activate the “active online template” button.
At the retail chain level
At the retail chain level, the refresh label is inactive, meaning that when the online template is activated across the entire retail chain, it cannot be refreshed all at once. You must wait until the next image is sent before the red dot can be added to the template.
At the store level
At the store level, besides waiting for an image to be sent to the label to add the red dot to the template, you can refresh all labels at once using the 'refresh labels' button. This will instantly update all online labels and add the red dot to each one.
FAQ
How to remove the red dot from the label?
When deactivating the online template button, the red dot will be removed from the template the next time an image will be sent to the label.
At the store level, you can use the refresh label to refresh all labels at once, and remove all red dot at once.
Who can activate or deactivate the online template?
Admin users of the retail chain or the store can activate or deactivate the online template and refresh the labels at the store level.
Other users can only see if it is activated or not.
