Right management

This new UI allows you to define which users can see and manage your stores. It sets the authorisation of users on your stores. The identification of users is either managed by the SSO for the UI or by the API key for the API calls.

Profiles

There are two types of profiles in our platform: support UI profiles and developer profiles. The former provides rights on the user interfaces, such as Manager Pro or this User management console. The latter enables users to perform API calls.

VusionManager profiles

There is one developer profile per API product (VUSION Link Pro, VUSION Manager Pro, etc.).

There are three UI profiles:

• Admin (Retail Chain Administrator)

  • Manage users

  • Manage items

  • Manage labels

  • Manage tasks

  • Manage infrastructure (AP)

• Support

  • Manage items

• User

  • See items

Workspace profiles

• Workato_connection_only:

  • For customer, to enter credentials

• Workato_users:

  • Read Only for Logs and recipes

• Workato_developer:

  • Read and write to create recipes

How-to

Connection

Connect to the page https://users-{region}.vusion.io/, for instance https://users-eu.vusion.io/. You must be at least administrator of one retail chain to be able to connect.

You can see all users that have UI access to your stores:

Add a user

In the “Email” field, add the e-mail address of the user then click on “Define a store profile”.
A store profile is a combination of the profile and the scope (a list of retail chains or stores):

Select the profiles (see above for the different profiles), as retail chain administrator, you can only add users with less rights than you, meaning support and store user.

Select the retail chain(s) and/or store(s) on which this profile must be applied.

Many store profiles can be added to the same user. All rights will be cumulated to the user.

Once all store profile added, you can save the USER by clicking on the “Save” button and confirm.

Change a user’s rights

At any time, a profile can be, checked, deactivated or added.

Click on the user and then on the store profile to know the list of Retail chains/store included.

To activate or deactivate a Store Profile. In the profile, client on the “activate/Deactivate” button. In case of deactivation, all store and retail chain attached to this profile will be deactivated.

To edit the user, enter the in the USER and then go in Edit and follow the previous steps of this documentation.

How to add an admin user to my retail chain or a developer profile?

Best practices

• Always apply the principle of least privilege: provide only the needed rights, not the maximum.

• Restrict the number of administrators and developers to the minimum. Keep in mind that developers with access to VUSION Link Pro API and VUSION Cloud API can change all displays or prices.
